I have been using the Gleaming Car Co for several years now. John started doing our cars when we lived in Lincolnshire. We have since moved to West Yorkshire and I still use him to give our 3 cars (Impreza, Boxster, Mini) a twice yearly thorough valet. It costs me extra for him to travel over here but it is worth it. Over the last few months I have been amazed at how John treats our cars as if they were his own – you’ll know what I mean no one will ever clean your own vehicle the way you want it! John certainly does, in fact the top class products he uses makes the end result far better than I have ever achieved!

I have used the cheaper “valets” in the past at supermarket car parks and they have created more problems, particularly with alloy wheels – using acid that basically stripped off the lacquer finish. John just knows what each element of the car requires in order to do the job properly, that’s why I have recently contracted John at the Gleaming car company to regularly valet my S8 and Q7. I have opted for a full valet monthly with weekly wash and vacuum for both vehicles. Every week the cars look great – it makes me feel like I’ve just driven them off the garage forecourt!

When John first told me about the Gleaming Car Co. I imagined something a step up from cleaning and polishing my car myself. I expected better products although I don’t use cheap ones and thought that if he was to valet and detail it I would be left with a shiny clean car…I was wrong!

John set about my MX5 whilst I was racing at Cadwell Park. When I came in from the first session my car looked clean. Turned out this was just the start and as the afternoon continued my car was transformed!

It certainly turned heads at Cadwell and word quickly spread about the newest Sponsor on the grid. When John finished I walked round the car and was suitably impressed, it shone. It wasn’t just clean it looked better than it I’d when I bought it you could actually feel the difference if you ran your hands over the car, not that I wanted to, I was worried about leaving finger prints!!

That was this weekend, its only Wednesday and three different people have asked me if I’ve bought a new car. If I tell you that my car is 6 years old and had 93 000 miles on the clock you’ll know why I’m so impressed. They are all planning to call John and get their cars done and I’ve given them his details.

If I read this not knowing how John works I might assume that he’d used T-cut or some abrasive polishes to restore the paint but he didn’t. How can I be so certain? I use my car to promote my business and it is covered in vinyl logos which can’t cope with any abrasive polishes (the ink comes off and they turn white). The transformation of my car has been down to carefully selected gentle products and a man who really knows his stuff.

I can’t recommend John highly enough and would like to thank him again for the fantastic job he did on my car. Next time you are talking to John just ask to see the before and after photos!
