Enhancement Detail
A process to eliminate light swirls and improve the overall appearance considerably. The Enhancement Detail is one of The Gleaming Car Co most popular options when preparing clients cars.
The process offers all the benefits of the PAINT CLEANSE DETAIL with the added correction/ improvement of light swirls and marring by skilled machine polishing.
I find even a new car usually requires a level of enhancement, so this process is thoroughly recommended to achieve a deeper mirror like finish.
Light swirls or cobwebbing and contamination ultimately affects the standard of finish and reflective properties of your cars paintwork and this process is the ideal foundation for a long term ceramic coating or other sealant.
This process is best done in an indoor environment under our mobile lighting rigs to obtain best results.
Upon inspection of your car and suitable paint depth readings taken we can recommend the amount of correction needed which sometimes goes beyond enhancement.
Full correction of paintwork is of course available and we can also use wet sanding techniques if necessary.

pH neutral snow foam applied and left to dwell, gently lifting and loosening road grime.
Rinse down complete car paying specific attention to wheel arch areas and also underneath the vehicle as appropriate.
Alloys cleaned including the inside of the rim with a non-acidic wheel cleaner and further treated as necessary to remove any bonded contamination.
2 bucket wash with lambswool wash mitt, grit guards and pH neutral shampoo
Door shuts cleaned.
Dried with a fluffy deep pile microfibre towel.
Tar spots gently lifted from paintwork.
Metal contamination removed from paintwork
Fine grade clay bar/mitt used to lift off bonded contaminants from paintwork.
Machine polish using suitable pad and compound best suited to aim for typically a single stage correction resulting in light swirl removal and deep gloss enhancement.
Last stage protection applied – wax, hybrid or ceramic / graphene as agreed
All door and window seals treated and plastics conditioned
Wheel sealant applied as agreed
Tyres dressed to a natural finish.
Exhaust tips and any other chrome / metal work polished.
Glass cleaned and treated with optional sealant
